Some of the senior Professors in Library and Informaton science like Prof.Lahari, Prof. Mangala who are the members in the UGC expert cimmittee feel that the Change of designation as Lecturer for the College/ University librarians is not a necessary one as the terminology LIBRARIAN is universally accepted one. My question is that is it an acceptable one? Who are they to decide it.
